LOSSON B. MYERS DIED ON SUNDAY

Funeral Rites Tuesday For Jefferson Township Resident

Losson B. Myers, a Jefferson township farmer since 1893, died Sunday, June 26, at his home there. He was 89 years of age.

Mr. Myers was born in Jefferson township on May 14, 1860, the son of Anthony and Sarah Myers. When he was 10 years old he moved with his parents to near Marengo, in Iowa county, where he lived as a young man. He was married Dec. 5, 1888, to Florence Buswell of Marengo. He moved his family back to Jefferson township of this county in 1893, and that had since been his home.

He is survived by his wife; three daughters, Mrs. Blanche Hendricks and Mrs. Mae Addy of Winterset and Mrs. Ethel Brittain of Jefferson township; a son, George Myers of Des Moines; 24 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Tuesday from Anderson's home for funerals, in charge of the Rev. I. E. Linkletter, pastor of the Winterset Church of Christ. Burial was made in the McDonald cemetery in Jefferson township, near his birthplace.
