Wednesday, April 20, 1949PEARL W. PARKINS DIED LAST WEEK
Pearl W. Parkins, a resident of Winterset nearly all his life, died Tuesday, April 12, at the state hospital in Oakdale. He had been in failing health for several years.
Mr. Parkins was 43 years of age at the time of his death. He was the son of Steve and Lovina Reigle Parkins, and was born Sept. 11, 1905.
He is survived by his parents; his wife; five children, Mrs. G. Raymond of Van Meter, and Billie, Darrell, Duane and Mary Kay, at home; a grandson; three sisters, Mrs. Nellie Johnson of Florida, Mrs. Eva Guiberson of Des Moines and Mrs. Myrtle Bentley of Winterset; and two brothers, Charles Parkins of Des Moines and Alice Parkins of Winterset.
Funeral services were held last Friday from Anderson's home for funerals, in charge of the Rev. I. E. Linkletter, pastor of the Winterset Church of Christ. Burial was made in the Jefferson township cemetery.
