August 17, 1933MRS. SAM ARMSTRONG DIES
Word was received here the first of the week of the death of Mrs. Sam Armstrong of Manson who dies there on Monday. Mrs. Armstrong was formerly a resident of Winterset and moved to Manson about fifteen years ago. She had been in poor health for some time, having suffered a stroke about four years ago.
Mrs. Armstrong is survived by one daughter, Mrs. V. P. McManus of Manson formerly Miss Mary Armstrong. Mr. Armstrong has been dead for a number of years and another daughter, Mrs. Maude Eaton died about thirteen years ago. Mrs. Armstrong is also survived by a nephew George Adkins of Winterset.
Mrs. Armstrong worked for approximately fifteen years in Koser Bros. store and at one time had a millinery store in Winterset. She also did dressmaking here for a number of years. The Armstrong was located on North First street.
Funeral services were held in Manson on Wednesday morning at nine o'clock. Burial was made in a Manson cemetery.
