ELROY TAYLOR Died Monday

Elroy Taylor of Earlham, a retired Penn township farmer, died Monday, July 8, 1968, at Memorial hospital in Winterset. He was 85 years of age.

Mr. Taylor was a life-long resident of Madison county. He was born at Earlham Oct. 10, 1882, a son of William E. and Euphemia Morgan Taylor. He was married Jan. 31, 1909 to Nellie E. Boothroy. Her death occurred Aug. 31, 1956.

Mr. Taylor was a member of the Early Chapel church.

He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Oliver Fink of Earlham.

Funeral services were to be held this Wednesday at 2 p.m. from the Collins Funeral home in Winterset, conducted by the Rev. John E. Fink, pastor of the First United Presbyterian church of Winterset. Burial was to be made in the Penn Center cemetery.

Elroy Taylor, 85, was born October 10, 1882 to William R. and Euphamia Morgan Taylor in Earlham. On Monday, July 8, he passed away at the Madison County Memorial hospital in Winterset.

Mr. Taylor was a lifelong resident of Madison county and farmed in Penn township until his retirement, and was a member of the Early Chapel church.

He was married to Nellie Frances Boothroy January 31, 1909 and they were the parents of a daughter Marie (Mrs. Oliver Fink) with whom he was living at the time of his death.

Mr. Taylor was the last of a family of seven children. Preceding him in death were his wife on August 31, 1956, five brothers and one sister.

Funeral services were conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 10, at the Collins Funeral Home with the Rev. John E. Fink officiating. Interment was in the Penn Center cemetery near Earlham.
