Former Resident Had Left This Community About 35 Years Ago
James S. Jackson, a former resident of Madison county, died last Thursday, April 7, at Mobridge, S. Dak., where he had lived in recent years. He was 59 years of age.
Mr. Jackson was born at Seneca, Ill., on May 10, 1889. He came to Madison county with his parents in 1903. Here he was married to Myrtle Russell in 1908. They moved from here to Firested, S. Dak., about 35 years ago.
Surviving are his wife; three sons, James, Jr., Harold and Donald; and five daughters, Helen, Evelyn, Dorothy, Mary Lou and Carolyn; two brothers, Tom Jackson of Winterset and Robert Jackson of Chicago; and two sisters, Mrs. Clara Frey of Winterset and Mrs. Mary Poole of Swanington, Ind.
Funeral services and burial were held Monday at Mobridge.
