Nancy M. Allison, daughter of Hugh and Sarah Allison, was born in Marion county, Iowa, Nov. 10, 1857 and died very suddenly at her home at Patterson, April 9, 1925, at the age of 68 years, 5 months.
She was married to Hiram Landers March 18, 1878. To them were born eight girls and two boys, one boy dying in infancy. Mr. Landers died March 19, 1900.
She was united in marriage to Fayette Taylor, Sept. 27, 1910. Her Christian life began early. In 1894 she united with the Christian church of Patterson and from then till the time of her death she was a faithful and loyal member of her church. Love for family and friends was one of the traits of her Christian Life.
There are left to mourn her loss, her beloved husband and nine children: Mrs. Annie Ray, Booneville; Delila Gentry and Perry H. Landers of Winterset; Mrs. Bessie Reimann of Jefferson; Gertie Landers, at home; Mrs. Grace Huff and Mrs. Clyde Harrison of Jefferson; Mrs. Maude Tucker, at home; Mrs. Ferne Harrell of Peru, and a step-daughter, Mrs. Mary Allen of Winterset; 15 grandchildren anad four great grandchildren.
These will all suffer the loss of a mother, for mother she truly was to all, children and stepchildren, as well as grandchildren found in her the mother heart of devotion and sacrifice.
Besides these are three brothers and one sister and a large number of friends. Two of the daughters, Mrs. Anna Ray of Booneville and Mrs. Bessie Reimann of Jefferson, were unable to be present because of sickness.
Funeral services, conducted by Rev. F. C. McCallon of the Winterset Church of Christ, were held at Union Chapel, Saturday afternoon.
