D. E. COUNTRYMAN OF EARLHAM DIES

Death Occurred Thursday at His Home at Age of 72 Years

Funeral services were held Sunday at the Friends church in Earlham for Delbert E. Countryman, a life-long resident of the Earlham and Redfield communities.

Mr. Countryman died at his home in Earlham on June 7. He was 72 years of age.

He was born at Clarion, Sept. 10, 1887. On Dec. 10, 1899, he married Lydia Pitts at Redfield.

Surviving are his wife, four sons, Henry and Roy of Des Moines, Joe and Lawrence of Earlham; two daughters, Mrs. Christine Webb of Adel and Mrs. Edna Webb of Earlham; one sister, Mrs. Maude Keasey; and one brother, Claude of Redfield.

Three infant sons, and three brothers, Edward, Alfred and William, all preceded him in death.

Officiating at the funeral Sunday afternoon was the Rev. A. V. McClure of Des Moines, a Seventh Day Adventist minister. Burial was made in Wiscotta cemetery, near Redfield.

Pallbearers were Ross Miller, Charles Chance, Bill Lenze, Floyd Merical, Ralph Wheeldon and Vern Harris.
