DES MOINES DEATHS OF INTEREST HERE

Two Salesmen, Well Known in Winterset Stricken Fatally

The deaths of two Des Moines salesmen who are widely known in Winterset were reported here Wednesday.

Harry Breeding, grocery salesman, who was a familiar figure in Winterset for more than 30 years, died this Wednesday morning in Des Moines. He had suffered a stroke Monday at his Western Grocery company office.

Mr. Breeding was 62 years of age. Because of failing health, he had been transferred recently from a traveling to an office job with the firm. He was a cousin of Charles Breeding of Winterset. He is survived by his wife, and a sister.

Funeral services for Mr. Breeding will be held this Friday at 1:30 p.m. from the Blair Chapel church near St. Charles. Burial will be made in the cemetery there.

Grant Drake, representative of the Herring-Whisler firm of Des Moines, died there Tuesday night, as a result of a heart attack.

Mr. Drake was well known in Winterset. He had been calling on garages and service stations here for 28 years.
