Died at his residence in Monroe townshp on the 20th inst. of heart disease, Mr. Geo W. Foster, after an illness of twelve days.
He was born in Tuscarawas county, Ohio, April 4th, 1831. Emigrated to California in 1854, and to this county in 1867. For the past eight years he has been in charge of the sub structure work of the Madison county bridges. He was married to Miss S. E. Ward in 1871 who survives him.
Mr. Foster was esteemed by all as a man of integrity, energy and ability, and the many positions of trust he has filled show the high esteem in which he was held by all who knew him.
The thanks of the bereaved family and friends are hereby extended to all, for their sympathy and assistance.
