OBITUARY

Martha Magdalene Fry was born in the state of Virginia, spending her early youth in this place. She moved when a young girl with her parents to the state of Indiana, where they resided for about four years, then coming to Iowa in a covered wagon, settling on a farm in the Earlham community. The family left the farm coming to Earlham in 1889.

After the death of her mother, she went to live with an aunt for 15 years in Grinnell, Iowa. She then returned to Earlham to make her home until death called her February 9th, 1948.

She leaves to mourn her passing two half brothers, Earn of Earlham, and Denton of Butte, Montana, a number of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
