Page 6LLOYD L. SHAMBAUGH DIED LAST FRIDAY
Lloyd L. Shambaugh, long-time resident of Jefferson township, died Friday, April 5.
He had lived at Winterset since 1949. His death followed a long illness. He was 70 years of age.
Mr. Shambaugh was born in Jefferson township Aug. 6, 1886, a son of Adam and Mary Jane Shambaugh.
His wife, the former Bessie M. Cook, died in 1956. He leaves a son, Rex Shambaugh and three grandchildren, of Jefferson township; and two brothers, Oren Shambaugh of Jefferson township and Scott Shambaugh of Houston, Texas.
Funeral services were held Sunday from the Fisher Funeral home at Van Meter, conducted by the Rev. Clifford Carter of the United Brethren church. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
