Funeral services were held Monday for Oliver Sweet of Winterset, who died at the Villa West Care Center here last Friday September 20. He was 94 years of age.
Oliver Sweet was born in Webster township on December 5, 1879, the son of George and Ruth Pope Sweet. A retired farmer, Mr. Sweet was a resident of Madison county for his entire lifetime.
Mr. Sweet is survived by one brother, James Sweet of Winterset.
Services were held at 3:00 p.m. Monday, September 23 at the Collins Funeral Home in Winterset, with the Rev. Charles Updike officiating. Burial was in the Winterset Cemetery.
