GLENN EMERSON BURIED AT PERU

Heart Condition Fatal to Son of Winterset Mayor

Glenn E. Emerson, formerly of Peru and a son of Mayor and Mrs. A. E. Emerson of Winterset, died Monday, Jan. 10 at his home in Des Moines. His death resulted from a heart condition. He was 46 years of age.

Mr. Emerson was born at Peru, Dec. 26, 1908 and spent his early life there. For the last 20 years he had made his home in Des Moines. He had been employed by Super Valu stores Inc. for the last 10 years.

He was a member of St. Johns's Lutheran church in Des Moines.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Mildred Emerson; a daughter, Mrs. Donna Brown of Des Moines; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Emerson of Winterset; a brother, Martin Emerson of Des Moines; two sisters, Mrs. Ruby Deremiah of Des Moines and Mrs. Hazel Baker of Lorimor; and three granddaughters.

Funeral services were held this Wednesday from the Winterset Methodist church, conducted by the Rev. Frederick Weertz and the pastor, the Rev. W. W. Steimmetz. Burial was made in the Peru cemetery.

SPECIAL RITES HERE FOR GLEN EMERSON

Special services for Glen Emerson were held Tuesday evening, January 11th at Richards Funeral Home for Super Value employees.
