Bessie Blanche Pope, 88, died last Wednesday at the Madison Manor Nursing Home in Winterset. Miss Pope had been a resident of Madison County most of her life, and was affiliated with the Methodist church.
She was born May 27, 1884 in Valley Junction, Iowa, the daughter of Henry and Ella Meyerhoff Pope.
Miss Pope is survived by a sister, Carrie Williams of Winterset. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Herman Pope.
The funeral was held Saturday afternoon at Collins Funeral Home with the Rev. Walter A. Samp in charge. Burial was made at the Barney cemetery.
