GIDEON W. COOK DIES

Gideon W. Cook, former Winterset resident, who had been employed by the Des Moines Railway company for the past 37 years, died this morning at his home at 3300 Second avenue in Des Moines after a lingering illness. Mr. Cook who was 64 years of age, was raised in Winterset, the son of the late Arthur and Anna Cook.

He is survived by his wife, the former Iva Thornbrugh, and their daughter, Mrs. Lucia Taylor, of Des Moines, and by a sister, Mrs. Marcia Frey of Madison county.

Funeral arrangements had not been completed this afternoon but the services and burial will be in Des Moines.
