Little Girl Dies of Cancer

Lorraine Grace Caudill, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Caudill of near St. Charles, died at Blank Memorial hospital in Des Moines Monday, Feb. 14. Although the little girl was only two years and four months of age, she was a victim of cancer.

The little girl was the youngest child of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Caudill. In addition to her parents, she is survived by a sister and a brother, and by her paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Caudill of Peru.

Funeral services will be held this Thursday at 2 p.m. from the St. Charles Christian church in charge of the Rev. Fred Evans and the Rev. LeRoy Bussinger. Burial will be made in the Ebenezer cemetery.

PERU HAPPENINGS

Relatives and friends of this community attended the funeral Thursday of two year old Lorraine Caudill at the St. Charles Christian church. Burial was at Ebeneezer cemetery.

Lorraine was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Caudill, of near St. Charles, former residents of this community. A sister and two brothers also survive as well as her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Caudill of Peru, also a great aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Sylvester Clifton of Peru with whom Lorraine’s mother made her home before her marriage.
