Mrs. Violet Foreman Member of Pioneer Family in Ohio Township
Mrs. Violet Foreman, member of a pioneer family in Ohio township, died Jan. 4 at her home near Red Rock, Okla., according to word received here this week. She was 76 years of age. Her death followed a stroke and other complications.
Mrs. Foreman was the former Violet Young, daughter of J. J. and Sarah Young. She was born east of Truro on Nov. 8, 1871 and her early life was spent in that community. She was married to Pearl Foreman, Nov. 8, 1891. They lived on a farm east of Winterset for several years before moving to Oklahoma.
She leaves her husband; eight children; and a number of grandchildren. The children are: Mrs. Millis Kearns, Mrs. Sylvia Paris, Mrs. Irene Sullins, Mrs. Bertha Roessler, Mrs. Carrie Nemee, and Charles, Roy and Clarence Foreman, all living near Red Rock, except Mrs. Paris. In Iowa she leaves her 91-year-old sister, Mrs. Frances Muselman of Osceola, another sister, Mrs. Liva Foreman of Winterset and a brother, S. E. Young of Truro.
Funeral services and burial were held in Oklahoma.
