Funeral Services Are Set For This Thursday From Richards
Carroll F. Howell, a life-time resident of Madison county, died here Monday, July 29, after and extended illness. He was 66 years of age.
Mr. Howell was born near Patterson March 12, 1891, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Howell. His active life was spent in farming. He lived near Truro for many years, but after his retirement from farming he had lived in Winterset.
He was married July 12, 1923 at Indianola to Maude Lamb who survives him.
In addition to his wife, he leaves three daughters, Mrs. Dean Strable of St. Charles, Mrs. Robert Dillinger and Mrs. Charles Lee of Winterset; three sons, Doyle Howell of Winterset, Delbert Howell of the U.S. army at Ft. Hood, Tex., and Morris Howell of Winterset. He also leaves 11 grandchildren; and three sisters, Mrs. Mont Seams of St. Charles, Mrs. George Durand of St. Charles, and Mrs. Dale Gray of Winterset.
Funeral services will be held this Thursday at 2 p.m. from the Richards Funeral home conducted by the Rev. W. W. Steinmetz, pastor of the Winterset Methodist church. Burial will be made in Montpelier cemetery at Patterson.

Hood, Texas.
