JOHN A. LEHMER DIED WEDNESDAY

Had Been Hospital Patient in Missouri for Two Weeks

John A. Lehmer of St. Charles died at the St. Francis hospital in Maryville, Mo., Wednesday, April 5. He had been a patient there for two weeks prior to his death.

Mr. Lehmer was 65 years of age. He had been an active farmer in the St. Charles community until July, 1949.

He was a native of Nebraska, where he was born at Falls City, March 26, 1885. He was married to Margaret Burg of Effingham, Kan., who survives him.

He also leaves two sons, Louis A. Lehmer of St. Charles, and Raymond Lehmer of Peru; two daughters, Mrs. Floyd Messner of Dallas Center, and Mrs. Robert Vavra of Des Moines; 15 grandchildren; a brother; and six sisters.

Burial was held Monday at Immaculate Conception cemetery in St. Marys, with the Rev. Charles Phelan officiating.
