W. J. MACKAY DIED IN WINTERSET SUNDAY

Had Been Living at Darrell Mackay Home During Past Year

W. J. Mackay, who had been living here for the last year at the home of his son and wife, Mr. and Mrs. Darrell Mackay of Winterset, died here Sunday morning after an extended period of failing health. He was 78 years of age.

Mr. Mackay was a former resident of Pipestone, Minn. He was a native of Kossuth county, Iowa where he was born Jan. 20, 1872.

Nearest surviving realtives are his son and twin granddaughters, Marjorie and Meredith Mackay, all of Winterset.

Funeral services were to be held this Wednesday at Pipestone, and burial was to be made there.
