Winterset, IowaMRS. EMMA GARRETT BURIED AT WINTERSET
Funeral services were held at Creston last Friday for Mrs. Emma Garrett, formerly a well known Madison county and Winterset resident, whose death had occurred at Creston.
Mrs. Garrett was the former Emma Ellis of Truro. She was married to George Garrett, and they lived in Winterset for many years, where he operated a music stone. In 1922, they moved to Creston to continue in the same business, and Mr. Garrett died there in 1930. Since then she had made her home in Creston with her son, Eldon Garrett, in summier (summer) and in Tulsa, Okla., with her daughter, Mrs. R. S. Ross, in the winter.
Surviving are three sons, Eldon and Herbert of Creston and Clyde of Dubuque; the daughter, Mrs. Ross of Tulsa; five grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
Following the funeral services at Creston, the body was brought to Winterset for burial in the cemetery here.
