Page 2FUNERAL THURSDAY FOR RAY ESTEL, 65
Funeral services for Ray Estel will be held this Thursday afternoon, June 27, at 2 o’clock from Richards Funeral home in Winterset.
Mr. Estel died June 24 at Veteran’s Hospital in Des Moines. He was 65 years of age.
The son of Jerome and Eva Estel, he was born July 24, 1891. His entire life was spent in Madison county, with the exception of the past 10 years when he resided in Indianola.
On Feb. 21, 1942, he was married to Floy Iler at Bethany, Mo.
Surviving in addition to his wife; are a son, Ralph of Des Moines; one grandchild; a brother, Creed Estel of Winterset; and a sister, Mrs. Jim Willcox of Winterset.
A veteran of World War I, Mr. Estel served overseas with the 88th Infantry division. He was a member of the Methodist church.
Officiating at the services this Thursday will be the Rev. W. W. Steinmetz, Methodist pastor here. Burial will be in the Winterset cemetery.
