MRS. HAZEL COX OF MACKSBURG DIES

Death Occurred Sunday at Memorial Hospital After Extended Illness

Mrs. Hazel A. Cox, a life-long resident of Madison county, died at Memorial hospital in Winterset, Sunday Oct. 20, after a lingering illness. She was 60 years of age.

Mrs. Cox was a daughter of Arthur and Anna Barr. She was married to Oscar Cox on March 1, 1921. For the last 11 years her home had been in Macksburg

Surviving are her husband, her son, Phillip Cox; three sisters, Mrs. Flossie Criss of Winterset, Mrs. Bessie Brayman of Winterset, and Mrs. Elsie Benson of Canton, S. Dak.; and two brothers, Glenn Barr of Lorimor and Lloyd Barr of Winterset.

Funeral services were held Tuesday from the Richards Funeral home conducted by the Rev. S. C. Picken of the Winterset United Presbyterian church. Burial was made in Moon cemetery at Macksburg.
