EMMETT H. CLYDE

Emmett H. Clyde departed this life Friday morning April 26, 1957 at Mercy hospital in Fort Dodge, Iowa at the age of 42 years.

He suffered serious injuries four weeks ago while at work. He was an employee of Stott Building Supply of Ft. Dodge.

Emmett H. son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Clyde was born May 13, 1914 in Hamlin, Iowa. Here and at Winterset he attended the schools of those communities.

He was united in marriage with Goldie Stegall in Minnesota on October 10, 1946.

Those left in sorrow are his wife, Goldie, a stepdaughter, Mrs. Margaret Cassady of Earlham; one grauddaughter (granddaughter), Michelle, five brothers, Ernest of Water Lake, Indiana; Edward of Mt. Pleasant, Iowa; Elvin , Elmer and Everett of California and Rex of Troy Mills.

Four sisters, Mrs. Claude Osborn of Adair, Iowa; Mrs. Angelo Chids of Des Moines, Iowa; Velma of Troy Mills and Jean of Illinois.

His parents and a sister, Dolly preceded him in death. In addition to his immediate family he leaves many relatives and friends.

E. H. CLYDE BURIED AT PENN CENTER

Funeral services for Emmett H. Clyde of Earlham were held April 29 from the Leeper Funeral home there. Burial was made in the Penn Center cemetery.

Mr. Clyde died April 26 at a hospital in Ft. Dodge, from injuries sustained when a truck, loaded with asphalt shingles, overturned on him. He was employed by the Stott Building Supply company of Ft. Dodge and was helping unload the truck when the accident occurred.

Mr. Clyde was 42 years of age. He was born at Hamlin on May 13, 1914, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Clyde. He was married Oct. 10. 1946, to Goldie Stegall, who survives him.

In addition to his wife; he leaves a step-daughter, Mrs. Margaret Cassiday; a granddaughter; five brothers, Ernest Clyde of Water Lake, Ind., Edward Clyde of Mt. Pleasant, Elvin, Elmer and Everett Clyde of California, and Rex Clyde of Troy Mills; and four sisters, Mrs. Claude Osborn of Adair, Mrs. Angelo Chids of Des Moines, Velma Clyde of Troy Mills, and Jean Clyde of Illinois.
