MRS. MARY GREENFIELD DIED HERE MONDAY

Funeral Services Set for This Thursday at Richards

Mrs. Mary E. Greenfield, a former resident of Madison county died here Monday at the William Holin residence. Death followed a 10-day illness from a stroke of paralysis. She was 83 years of age.

Mrs. Greenfield was born near North English, and moved to Madison county as a young woman. She was married to James I. Greenfield in 1887. They lived in Madison county until 1919, when they moved to University Park, Iowa. Mr. Greenfield died there in 1947.

She was a member of the Church of Nazarene at Oskaloosa.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. A. Eling of Rogers, Ark., and Mrs. Geneva Patterson of Winterset; a son, Moody Greenfield of near Winterset; 13 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; and a sister and two brothers.

Funeral services will be held this Thursday at 1 p.m. from the Richards Funeral home, in charge of the Rev. Ziha Kellum of the Free Methodist church of Des Moines, assisted by the Rev. Glenn Parrott of the Winterset Methodist church. Burial will be made at University Park.
