Life-Long Resident of This County Was 70 Years of Age
Walter Hermon, a life-long resident of Madison county, died here Monday, May 24, at the age of 70 years.
He had been blind, and an invalid, in recent years.
Mr. Hermon was a son of James and Mary Jane Smith Hermon, and was born in Madison county Oct. 9, 1877.
Surviving are the following brothers and sisters: Charles Hermon of Winterset, Mrs. Minnie Wilson of Libertyville, Ill., Mrs. Beulah Braden of Roscoe, Calif., and Ross Hermon of Milburn, Ill.
Funeral services were held last Thursday from Anderson's Home for Funerals, in charge of the Rev. L. F. Davis of Winterset. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.

He spent his boyhood and entire life within this county.
He has been blind and an invalid for a number of years. He lived with his parents until their death then made his home with his brother, Albert and family.
He was a member of the Baptist church.
He is survived by the following brothers and sisters: Charley of Winterset; Minnie Wilson of Libertyville, Illinois; Beulah Braden of Roscoe, California; and Ross of Milburn, Illinois. Two brothers and one sister preceded him in death.
Funeral services were held May 27 from the Anderson Funeral Home in charge of the Rev. L. F. Davis of Winterset. Burial was made at the Winterset cemetery.
