HOWELL, MINNIE DIED LAST FRIDAY

St. Charles Resident Spent Entire Life in Madison County

Mrs. Minnie M. Howell, a life-long resident of the St. Charles and Patterson communities died Friday, May 4, at a St. Charles nursing home. She was 86 years of age.

Mrs. Howell was the former Minnie M. Caskey, daughter of John and Mary Caskey. She was born near Patterson July 27, 1869. As a young woman she was married to Arthur Howell, whose death occurred in 1935.

She is survived by one son, Carroll Howell of Winterset; three daughters, Mrs. Ethel Seams and Mrs. Miriam Durand of St Charles and Mrs. Doris Gray of Winterset; 10 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by five sons.

Funeral services were conducted Sunday from the Kale Funeral home at Truro by the Rev. Eldon Saworth of St Charles. Burial was made in the Montpelier cemetery at Patterson.
