MRS. WILL TILTON OF WINTERSET DIES

Death Occurred on Christmas Eve at Age of 85 Years.

Mrs. William Tilton of Winterset died at a nursing home here Christmas Eve, Dec 24, after a long illness. She was 85 years of age.

Mrs. Tilton was the former Edith May Hamilton, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Hamilton, and was born February 20, 1871 in Madison county. She lived for many years at Lorimor and Norwalk, but her home had been in Winterset recently.

She is survived by her husband and four daughters, Mrs. Beatrice Edwards of Lorimor, Mrs. May Farlow of Braylandon, Wash., Mrs. Albert Miller of San Antonio, Tex., and Mrs. Elizabeth Smith of Sioux Falls, S. Dak.

Funeral services will be held this Thursday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock from the Richards funeral home here. Conducted by the Rev. Warren Hile, pastor of the Winterset Christian church. Burial will be made in the Winterset cemetery.
