April 14, 1932Death of Sherman Fife
(St. Charles Special)This week we note the death of Sherman Fife at his home in Los Angeles, California. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Fife of this place and will be remembered by many as he grew to manhood here although he has been in the west for 25 years. Mr. Fife was 65 years old but never married and is survived by five sisters, Mrs. Alice Kale of Kingfisher, Oklahoma; Mrs. Emma Downs of Butler, Missouri; Minnie Fife and Mrs. Nora Bumbarger of Osceola; Mrs. Della Thompson of Lorimor and a brother, Homer of Omaha, Nebraska. Two sisters, Mrs. Anna Swearengen and Mrs. Elizabeth Kale of Truro and a brother, David of near Pitzer preceded him in death a few years ago. Burial was at Los Angeles.
