Winterset, IowaCAROLINE ADAMS KILLED IN ACCIDENT
Word has been received of the accidental death of Miss Caroline Adams of Piketon, Ohio.
Miss Adams was born in Macksburg, February 10, 1935, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Adams and died March 16th at Waverly, Ohio. Miss Adams graduated from the Macksburg High School with the class of 1953 and moved with her family to Ohio two years ago.
She has been employed in the Telephone office in Waverly the past year. She was killed in an automobile accident, as she was enroute to lunch when the car in which she was riding skidded on ice and she was thrown directly into the path of a semi-trailer truck and instantly killed.
Funeral services were held at the Boyer Funeral Home in Waverly with the Rev. Waid C. Radford, pastor of the Piketon Methodist church officiating. Burial was in the Evergreen cemetery in Waverly.
She is survived by her parents, three sisters, Beth, Nancy and Cynthia, six brothers, Billy, who is in the service, Phillip, Jimmy, Michael, Jackie and Gerie and her grand parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Thompson of Macksburg and Mrs. Martha Adams of Winterset.
