Mrs. Thurman Clark

Louise May Butler, oldest daughter of Lewis and Anna (Sebert) Butler, was born near Granger, Iowa on December 27, 1887 and died at her home near Winterset, Iowa on February 22, 1932 at 10:45 p.m., aged 44 years, 1 month and 24 days. She was united in marriage to Thurman Clark on August 1, 1912 to this union eight children were born, five of whom are living.

She taught in the Madison county public school for 10 years and has lived in this community for 25 years. The family has lived in Douglas township for the past 18 years. She grew to womanhood in a Christian community and was baptized in the Lutheran church.

Those who mourn her early departure are a husband, Thurman Clark, five children, Geraldine , Charles, Duncan, David and Grace; a father Lewis Butler; three brothers and three sisters of Los Angeles, California and three uncles living near Grimes, Iowa, aunts and uncles in Polk and Dallas counties, Iowa and a host of friends.

Rev. H. L. Olmstead pastor of the Church of Christ conducted her funeral services at Ramsey-Richards funeral home at 3:00 o'clock Thursday.
