Dr. William Van Werden, former Des Moines physician, died at the Methodist hospital in Des Moines, Tuesday morning, April 18. He was 76 years of age, and had been in poor health the past six weeks. He summoned his nephew Charles Van Werden, Madison county attorney to California, a few weeks ago and then accompanied him back to Des Moines and has since been in the hospital there. He leaves one brother, L. P. Van Werden of Leon and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services are being held at Dunn's Funeral home at 3:30 o'clock this (Thursday) afternoon and burial will be in Leon.
