Native of Cedar County Had Lived in This County Many Years
Funeral services for Mrs. V. F. Taylor of Winterset, whose death occurred here July 4, were held last Friday from the Richards Funeral home. The Rev. I. E. Linkletter, pastor of the Winterset Church of Christ, conducted the rites. Burial was made in the North River U.B. cemetery.
Mrs. Taylor was the former Maggie Alphretta Andrews, youngest daughter of Henry H. and Hannah Landis Andrews. She was born in Cedar county Oct. 30, 1875. When she was 13 years old she came with her parents to Madison county, and with the exception of a year in Union county this community had remained her home.
She was married to Verne F. Taylor Oct. 4, 1899. They were the parents of six children, one daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Clark, preceding the mother in death.
She leaves her husband; five children, Mrs. Irma Ford and Leon Taylor of Winterset, Mrs. Bessie Sinn of Story City, Mrs. Flossie Cummings of Iowa Falls and Wesley Taylor of St. Charles; 10 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
