MORTUARY - P. M. Lippy

Peter Milton Lippy was born on November 6, 1859 in Frederick county, Maryland. He died at his home east of Winterset on March 27, 1933, aged 73 years.

His marriage to Miss Emma Virginia Esterline occurred on June 2, 1881. They enjoyed a long married life Mrs. Lippy preceding him in death only last year, March 20, 1932.

God gave them two children; Nettie Edith who was born in Maryland and Howard who was born in Kansas where they had moved in 1886.

The home was made in Kansas for 22 years. In 1908 they came to Madison county and settled on the farm by the highway four miles east of Winterset. There he lived quietly till his death, a man of industry, high honor and integrity.

The daughter, Nettie Edith, passed away on July 7, 1929. She left behind four children, Vernie McBride of Compton, California; Nellie McBride of Los Angeles; Harvey McBride of Winterset; and little Shirley Ann Stine who was the joy of the grandfather's heart and home.

The son Howard and his wife and two daughters, Waunita and Mildred make their home in Des Moines.

There are also three great grandchildren.
