Death of Mrs. Oscar Baker

Mrs. Oscar Baker, 47 years old of Monroe township, died at her home last Thursday following a lingering illness of more than a year.

Mrs. Baker had been a resident of Madison county for about fourteen years, coming here with her husband from Kansas. She was born in Shawneetown, Illinois, December 19th, 1885.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Baker is survived by three sons, James, Jessie and Walter, her father, three brothers and three sisters.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Monday from Tidrick's funeral home. Rev. James Burns, of Paynesville, Ohio, a brother-in-law of the deceased, preached the sermon. Burial was in the Winterset cemetery.
