DEATH OF J. M. LEE

Mrs. Charles Rowe received a telegram Tuesday evening announcing the death of her father, J. M. Lee at Pueblo, Colorado. The time of the burial service is not determined but the body will be brought to Macksburg and burial made at the Moon cemetery.

Mr. Lee was for many years engaged in the general mercantile business at Macksburg, later moving to Winterset and then to Colorado.

LAST RITES ARE HELD FOR JAMES M. LEE

J. M. Lee, well know resident of Macksburg for many years, died July 25, at Pueblo, Colorado, where he had made his home since 1907. Services were held in Pueblo July 27 and burial made Saturday in the Moon cemetery at Macksburg, the Rev. A. P. Keast, pastor of the Methodist church, reading the service.

Mr. Lee was born in Rochester, New York in 1853 and came to Madison county with his parents in 1855, making his home in Grand River township with the exception of two years when the family lived in Winterset, where they occupied the home now owned by Ira Greenwood. His marriage to Eunice Walker took place in 1874.

Leaving in 1907 for Pueblo, Mr. Lee was associated with the Loose-Wiles company, resigning to go into the grocery business from which he was compelled to retire in 1931 on account of feeble health.

Mrs. Lee and their seven children survive, Mrs. Charles Rowe of Winterset; J. B. lee of Los Angeles, California; Dr. W. M. Lee of Mitchell, Nebraska; Fred W. Lee, H. N. Lee, Mrs. J. C. Rugg, and Miss Grace Lee all of Pueblo.
