Death of Mrs. Allie Carter

St. Charles Special, April 10th-Alice Pixler Carter, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Will Harrison, in Humboldt, Sunday, April 2 at the age of 78 years. Mrs. Carter had made her home in St. Charles for many years until two years ago she went to live with her daughter in Humboldt.

On March 12th, 1883, she was united in marriage to George J. Carter and they were the parents of two daughters, Mrs. Della Harrison of Humboldt and Mrs. Blanche Burd of Harlan who with four grandson and three brothers, B. B. Pixler of Childress, Texas; Eugene of Los Angeles and William of Fairbault, Minnesota, survive her.

The body was brought to St. Charles and funeral services were held at the Christian church Tuesday afternoon conducted by the Rev. Schmidt of Stanhope, a former pastor and burial was in the St. Charles cemetery, beside her husband who passed away in 1922.
