Ersie Clark, 40, son of William Clark of Douglas township, who was found dead in an empty house in Burlington, after an absence of four days, was brought here for burial Tuesday morning. Services were conducted at the McDonald cemetery by the Rev. A. R. Weed.
Mr. Clark who was a railroad man, had been out of work and was despondent over financial matters. The body was found in the basement of the house where he had evidently turned on the gas. Two wrenches which he supposed to have taken with him, were in the basement.
Mrs. Clark was Miss Kate Jones, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Tom Jones, both deceased.
