T. J. MCGINNIS DIES AFTER LONG ILLNESS

T. J. McGinnis who has been in poor health for a number of years passed away at his home west of Patterson Saturday morning, November 11th. Mr. McGinnis had been confined to his bed for the past several weeks being brought to his home from the Winterset hospital only a few days before his death. He was a life time resident of this community. He took an active interest in the church and community affairs and was always ready to give them his support. He was not only a friend to the older people but also to the young folks.

He is survived by his wife, the former Elizabeth Stiles and one brother Bert of northern Minnesota. Funeral services were conducted Monday afternoon from the Patterson M. E. church by Rev. Frank Moore of Grand, assisted by Rev. Hamilton. Interment was made in the McGinnis cemetery.

T. J. McGINNISS DIES SAT., NOVEMBER 11

Last rites for T. J. McGinniss, 62, one of the well known farmers of the county, who died Saturday morning at his home near Patterson following a protracted illness, were held Monday afternoon at the Methodist church in Patterson.

He was the son of Joseph and Melvina McGinniss and was born April 25, 1871. He became a member of the Baptist church at Bevington when a boy, later transferring his membership to the Patterson church.

He was married to Elizabeth Stiles March 8, 1893. his wife, a brother B. B. McGinniss of Northome, Minnesota, survive.
