Elsie Beaman, Winterset

Elsie Beaman, 89, of Winterset died Jan. 23, 2007 at Winterset Care Center South.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Jan. 30, at Ochiltree Funeral Service & Aftercare in Winterset with Pastor John Shaull officiating. Burial was at Penn Center Cemetery in rural Earlham.

Elsie Beaman was born June 5, 1917 to August and Adella (Speer) Bloomquist of Earlham. Her marriage to Claude E. Beaman took place Feb. 1, 1941 in Panora. Elsie, a homemaker, was a member of the Webster Methodist Church and then the Worthington Methodist Church, where she volunteered with the church youth groups. She also was a member of Farm Bureau.

She was preceded in death by her husband and seven siblings-Vera Kerwin, Inez Hartman, Geraldine Bloomquist, Carl Bloomquist, Kathryn Bly, Harold "Bud" Bloomquist and Leon Iiams.

She is survived by one son, Gary Beaman of Winterset; a sister, Augusta "Gus" Rehard of Winterset; and two grandchildren.
