Florence Areta Dimel, daughter of Charles and Minnie Merical was born in Adel, Iowa, August 30, 1896 and departed this life in Covina, California June 28, 1976 at the age of 79 years.

She was united in marriage on December 12, 1916 to Nichlaus George Dimel. To this union were born four children, Woodrow Dimel of Parker, Arizona, Marjorie Anderson of Covina, California, Phyllis Coffman of Sacramento, California, and Barbara Jenkins of Running Springs, California.

She leaves to mourn her passing, besides her immediate family, one daughter-in-law, three son-in-laws, eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren; five sisters, Mrs. Jose Manders of Waukee; Mrs. Virginia Bechtel of Earlham; Miss Mildred Merical, and Mrs Ruth Baker, both of Adel, and Mrs. Fern Shaw of Earlham; and two brothers, Dale Merical of Adel and Lester Merical of Des Moines. Her parents and one sister preceded her in death.

She was in a retirement center in San Dimas, California for the past year and death was due to a stroke. Her home was in California for the past 30 years where she was near her children.
