Death of Manville E. Harris

Manville Ellsworth Harris, former Madison county resident, died at the Mercy hospital in Des Moines, Easter Sunday morning at the age of 71 years. He had been in failing health the past two years.

Mr. Harris was a son of Mr. and Mrs. L. J. Harris and was born September 19, 1861. His marriage to Catherine Laidley took place at Winterset, April 3, 1893. They were the parents of one daughter, Mrs. Helen Ross of Newton who survives him.

For many years the Harrises lived on a farm near Macksburg. In 1917 they moved to Des Moines and have since made that place their home. He leaves in addition to his daughter, a sister, Mrs. Walter Skinner of Maxwell and one brother, Joe Harris of Lorimor.

The Rev. H. L. Olmstead pastor of the Winterset Church of Christ conducted his funeral services at the Ord Christian church Tuesday afternoon, April 18th at 2 o'clock.
