ARNOTT W. CONNELL OF GREENFIELD DIES

Arnott W. Connell of Greenfield died Saturday, Feb. 17 at a Des Moines hospital at the age of 80 years. He was the father of Mrs. Wendell Nelson of Winterset.

Mr. Connell was born near Creston, Feb. 2, 1882 but moved to Greenfield as a young man. He served as a letter carrier in Greenfield from 1921 until his retirement in 1949.

He was preceded in death by his wife. In addition to the daughter, Mrs. Nelson of Winterset, he leaves a son Max Connell of Des Moines, four grandchildren; two great grandchildren; a brother, Chet Connell of Los Angeles, Calif. and a sister, Mrs. Fred Harris of Lynwood, Calif.

Funeral services were held Feb. 20 from the Bickford Murray Funeral home in Greenfield conducted by the Rev. Don Arthur. Burial was made in the Greenfield cemetery.
