January 10, 1962FORMER RESIDENT DIES IN WASHINGTON
Mrs. Elsie DeVault, formerly of Madison county, died Saturday, Jan. 6, at Naselle, Wash. She was 78 years of age.
Mrs. DeVault was the former Elsie Craven, daughter of Marida and Almtra Craven and was born in Madison county April 23, 1883. As a young woman she married Al DeVault, and they moved to Sterling, Colo., where this death occurred in 1919. Since then she had lived at Juneau, Alaska and Seattle, Wash.
She also leaves three sons, Clyde DeVault of Naselle, Forest DeVault of Steamboat Springs, Colo., and Glenn DeVault of Pitzer; a daughter, Mrs. Velma Keaton of Kent, Wash.; two brothers, J. M. (Roy) Craven of Winterset and John Craven of Carlton, Ore.; and a sister, Mrs. Lulu Shackelford of Liberal, Kansas.
