Wednesday, February 14, 1962MRS. FLOSSIE HAGER DIES AT 75 YEARS
Mrs. Flossie B. Hager died Saturday, Feb. 3, at Madison County Memorial hospital in Winterset. She was 75 years of age.
Mrs. Hager was born Jan. 24, 1887, near Creighton, Nebr., a daughter of Robert and Elmina Ray. Most of her early life was spent near Brunswick, Nebr. She was married Nov. 19, 1912 to Daniel G. Hager. They moved to Casey, Ia., 10 years later and most of the remainder of her life was spent in that community.
Shortly after moving to Iowa she was stricken with polio, from which she never completely recovered. Because of ill health, both she and her husband left their home in Casey in 1957 and had been living with their children. Her husband preceded her in death in February 1960.
She is survived by four children, Orville Hager of Earlham, Dale Hager of Baldwin Park, Calif., Mrs. Arlene Mains of Winterset and Mrs. Betty Christensen of Fontanelle. She also leaves eight grandchildren; two great grandchildren; a brother, Ollie, and a sister, Alice, both of Oregon.
