JANICE DAVENPORT

Janice Marie McClurg Davenport, daughter of Lloyd and Ila McClurg, was born at Earlham April 18, 1941 and passed away at Methodist hospital in St. Louis Park, Minnesota on February 6, 1978 at the age of 36.

Janice attended the DeSoto school and graduated from there in 1959. After graduation she attended AIB Business School in Des Moines. She was a member of the Earlham Methodist church, later changing her membership to the Grace Methodist church in Des Moines.

Janice was married to Jack Davenport November 14, 1959. To this union were born two children, Stephen and Stacia. They lived in Des Moines until 1969 when they moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota, where she lived until her death. Her last employment was with Barton Realty in Minneapolis.

Janice is survived by her children, Stephen and Stacia Davenport, parents, Lloyd and Ila McClurg of Minnetonka, Minnesota, sister, Carol Wachter of DeSoto, and grandmother, Mabel Bricker of Earlham, one niece and one nephew.

She was preceded in death by her brother, John, in 1970. She will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew her.

Funeral services were held February 10, 1978 at Earlham Methodist church with Rev. Higdon officiating. Burial was in the Earlham cemetery. A memorial service was held February 8 in Minneapolis.
