PAUL H. GARRETT

Paul H. Garrett, youngest son of Menary and Margaret Garrett was born near Earlham in Dallas county on February 6, 1898. He attended rural school in Dallas county. After his mother passed away, he made his home with his father as long as he lived, and then was looked after by his brothers and sisters for several years.

After the death of his sister's husband, Earl Ramsey, five years ago, he had made his home with his sister, Mrs. Ramsey, as long as she was able to care for him. In July of 1967, he was taken to the Horton nursing home near Winterset, willing to go. In the last year he had been in the hospital several times. He passed away August 5, 1968 at Winterset Memorial hospital.

His father, mother, two brothers, Kenneth and Bruce, two sisters, Gladys and Inez, preceded him in death. (Buried in Earlham Cemetery).

He is survived by one sister, Mrs. Earl Ramsey, one aunt, Miss Myrtle Garrett and one nephew, Nile McKibben.
