Floyd Mack Ross, 75, son of Walter and Mary Ann McKibbon Ross, died Christmas Day, Dec. 25, 1977 at Winterset Care Center South. He was born Feb. 24, 1902 in Madison County.
Mr. Ross was married to Pauline Cochran in Macksburg on January 1, 1927. She preceded him in death October 1952.
A retired farmer Mr. Ross lived most of his life in Madison County in the Macksburg and Winterset areas.
Survivors include three sons, David of Winterset, Clair of Indianola and Dean of Eldon, Mo.; two daughters, Mrs. Maynard (Doris) Harper, Jr. of Peru and Mrs. William (Dorothy) Harper of Truro also a sister, a brother, 21 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Funeral services for Floyd Mack Ross were conducted Tuesday, Dec. 27, at the Macksburg Methodist Church. Rev. Ackerman officiated. Burial was made at Moon Cemetery. Arrangements were made by Watts-Lindsay Funeral Home.

LORIMOR—Floyd Mack Ross, 75, of Macksburg died Sunday at the Winterset Care Center South.
His funeral was held Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. from the United Methodist Church in Macksburg with Rev. John H. Ackerman officiating. Music was provided by Mrs. Clarence Baker, organist, who played “Old Rugged Cross” and “How Great Thou Art.” Casket bearers were Nick Waltz, Luther Holm, Leslie Busch, Richard Wise, Harold Little and Carl McMichael. Burial was in the Moon cemetery in Macksburg. Watts-Lindsay funeral home in Lorimor was in charge of arrangements.
Ross was born Feb. 24, 1902 in Madison County to Walter and Mary Ann McKibbon. He was married to Pauline Cochran in Macksburg on Jan. 1, 1927. His wife preceded him in death in Oct. 1952.
He is survived by three sons, Davis Ross of Winterset, Clair Ross of Indianola, and Dean Ross of Eldon, Mo., two daughters, Mrs. Maynard (Doris) Harper Jr. of Peru, Ia., and Mrs. William (Dorothy) Harper of Truro. Also surviving are a sister, Mrs. Ruth Henry of Carollton, Tex. and a brother, Fred Ross of Murray, as well as 21 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Ross was preceded in death by his parents, a son Don in 1951 and a sister.
Ross was a retired farmer and had lived most of his life in Madison County in the Macksburg and Winterset areas.
