Death of Mrs. Martha Guiberson

Mrs. Martha Ratliff Guiberson, aged 76 years, died in Oskaloosa on Friday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Tennie Fehd, with whom she had been living since her poor health rendered in inadvisable for her to live alone at her home in Winterset. The remains were brought her Saturday, burial services being conducted Sunday afternoon from the Church of Christ by Dr. Corkey and Rev. Burton.

Mrs. Guiberson's parents came from Ireland and settled in Ohio in the early days of that state's history. They removed to Iowa about 60 years ago, living in Warren county before locating in Madison. The marriage of Martha Ratliff to S. S. Guiberson occurred Feb. 22, 1861, his death occurring in 1909. Of the five children, only Mrs. Fehd remains. Mrs. Guiberson was the last of the Ratliff family, being a sister of the later D. G. and Robert Ratliff, so well known here for many years.
