Mrs. Luella Westphal, nee Atkins, was born on Feb. 28, 1885 in Dallas county, Iowa and died at her home in Madison county, Feb. 8, 1920, aged 24 years, 11 months, 20 days. She was married to Herman Westphal Aug. 21, 1907. To this union were born four children: John Earl, Herman Harrison, Marion Nelson and Lloyd Glenn. Little Herman died two years ago and Lloyd Glenn died of the flu a day before his mother at the age of 10 months and 9 days and was buried in his mother's arms. Her father, three brothers and her only sister have preceded her in death. She leaves to mourn her loss, four brothers: George, John, Charles and Glen Atkins and a host of friends.
